The Drumming Guys welcome you! We offer drumming throughout South
Africa and specialise in African drumming entertainment & interactive
drumming team building sessions for Corporates, Non Profit Organisations,
Schools and Private events.
Group drumming has proved to be highly effective for team building
because it synchronises a team within minutes, rhythm is universally
relatable, all people respond to rhythm, and rhythm is the foundation
of music in cultures all over the world. Once everyone is synchronised
(working together in harmony), the team is leveraging group consciousness
to obtain a common goal. The goal cannot be achieved by individual
members acting alone, but working as a team makes it possible and
achievable.
Drumming team building is suitable for people of all age groups and
cultures, and works just as effectively with a group of people from
different countries and cultures, as a team from the same company
or department. We facilitate the drumming session in such a way that
makes it accessible to all, inspiring and fun to participate in.

Percussion & drum lessons
We offer group & individual drum lessons for Djembe, Conga,
Bongos and related percussion instruments - shakers, bells and more.
Private drum lessons focus on teaching rhythms, timing, as well as
hand techniques for drumming. The types of drumming we focus on are
West African (Djembe)and Cuban (Conga), however other types of hand
drumming can also be explored as there are many similarities.
There are some sounds which require advanced technique such as slaps,
these take time to learn, however there is a proven method for teaching
these techniques. By focussing on rhythms, time and techniques the
learning curve is accelerated, and it instils confidence in playing
and performing.
